Volume 13 - March 2007

A year of M&A's

It was raining deals in 2006. India Inc participated in strategic merger and acquisition deals both within the country and overseas. Frenetic activity on deal street included big-buck global transactions as Indian companies made their presence felt on a global platform.

This trend was all the more pronounced in the IT industry and Prayag has attempted to capture a few ramifications of this development in this special M&A issue of Confluence.

As always, we bring sound bytes from the people who were in the thick of action. Prabhu Srinivasan, Chief Strategy and Quality Officer, Intelenet Global Services, elucidates trends in the BPO industry that have induced the company to adopt inorganic growth as part of its strategy.
