Confluence is back in the new avatar we promised in our last issue. This time our theme is ‘Creative Marketing.’ If marketing budgets were unlimited, most marketers would sail through with successes every day. The real world is a far cry from such a Utopian situation.

Jay Conrad Levinson has devised many an innovative strategy to get the maximum leverage for the marketing buck. In this issue, you will find an exclusive interview with this guru of guerilla marketing.

Unconventional use of traditional tools is the underlying element of ‘Creative Cocktail’, blended by Sudha Kumar. Creative use of technology could also be a powerful tool to hire, explains Anita Mani, exhorting us to Click to Conquer.’

As always, in ‘Best and the Rest’ we have some really insightful perspectives on a very current topic- mergers and acquisitions. Sudip Nandy, Chief Strategy Officer, Wipro Technologies, shares his thoughts on what acquisition strategies have worked for Wipro in this issue of Confluence.

‘Prayag Take’
presents our perspective on the industry. Jayanthi Badrinath shares her insight into FY 07 performance highlights for the Top 4 Indian IT Services Companies.

There is a ready reckoner of significant deals in the last three months, in ‘Deal Beat’. We also wanted to share a few events at our end in ‘Prayag Buzz’.

We want Confluence to be a forum to share thoughts and opinions, and have decided to have a quick poll in every issue henceforth. Please participate (if you have not already!) and give your views.

Don't forget to write in with your comments, feedback and suggestions.
